Operational Resilience Engineering is being developed through a sequence of linked theoretical, methodological, and applied efforts.

Near-term work

• Specify vulnerability and resilience spaces and their relation.

• Formalize system state, performance, operational boundaries, and feasibility.

• Develop the paired (2 times 2) frameworks for resilience and vulnerability.

• Clarify the role of interpretation and perspective in decision models.

• Construct worked examples for critical infrastructure systems.

Planned research outputs

• Foundational conceptual and technical notes.

• Formal mathematical definitions and propositions.

• Infrastructure case studies and computational demonstrations.

• Reproducible code and model artifacts.

• Preprints and peer-reviewed publications.

This roadmap is intentionally provisional. The site will distinguish clearly between established foundations, current working formulations, and released citable research artifacts.
