Operational Resilience Engineering is being developed through a sequence of
linked theoretical, methodological, and applied efforts.

Near-term work
--------------

* Specify vulnerability and resilience spaces and their relation.
* Formalize system state, performance, operational boundaries, and feasibility.
* Develop the paired \(2 \times 2\) frameworks for resilience and
  vulnerability.
* Clarify the role of interpretation and perspective in decision models.
* Construct worked examples for critical infrastructure systems.

Planned research outputs

* Foundational conceptual and technical notes.
* Formal mathematical definitions and propositions.
* Infrastructure case studies and computational demonstrations.
* Reproducible code and model artifacts.
* Preprints and peer-reviewed publications.

This roadmap is intentionally provisional. The site will distinguish clearly
between established foundations, current working formulations, and released
citable research artifacts.
