Operational Resilience Engineering (ORE)¶
Operations Research + Resilience Engineering = Operational Resilience Engineering ————————————————
Operational Resilience Engineering (ORE) is a developing framework for modeling vulnerability, resilience, system performance, and intervention choices in critical engineering systems.
ORE connects operations research and resilience engineering to examine how system states, performance boundaries, constraints, decision spaces, and interpretive perspectives shape operational outcomes.
ORE treats resilience and vulnerability as related but distinct analytical spaces. It develops explicit links among system state, performance, operational boundaries, feasible interventions, and the perspectives through which system performance and decision options are interpreted.
For an introduction to the framework, begin with Overview; for its theoretical structure, see Theory.
Current status¶
This is an evolving independent research program. This site will publish conceptual notes, formal definitions, working artifacts, preprints, presentations, and reproducible materials as they become available.
